A poem I had to write for English...lol

Sleep Deprived Senior

The little frog said
I’m tired; I want to go to bed.
No, little frog,
You will not sleep
You must stay up and study deep.
For homework is the driving force
…of course.
No little senior frog,
Not until May will you ever get to stray
From the homework that lingers just away.

Sleep deprived!!! (Is that how you spell it?)

First for anyone who cares, the cartoon character on the right side of the page is a groundhog! Which btw groundhog day is Feb. 2nd. Oh ya and about the whole sleep deprived thing, it's really true. However, I've decided that it's perfectly normal to not get any sleep your last few months of high school....and college...and the rest of my life... but I'd rather NOT think further!!! Welp, now that I've wasted "homework"time on the computer, I'm gonna try to get a few winks of sleep!!! Wow, that made me sound like 70 or something...winks...winks...really? wow!

Visiting my sister in Watertown

First off I just wanted to thank God for the beautiful weather! It's been so cold and the break from it was GREAT!
Anyway, whether it be a lack of business or more workers than usual, I don't know, but I've had a serious lack of hours at work recently. Combined with that and the fact that today is a holiday, I had a little time to make a trip to Watertown, SD. For any clueless readers, this is where my sister lives. So, the two younger sisters and I headed to Watertown yesterday and had a Great visit. I would elaborate but...who cares! :)
I did find it kind of sad when we went to leave and my niece Paetyn, who until this point seemingly didn't care that we were leaving, said, "I don't want you to leave, I want you to stay forever!" Another sad/cute thing was when she called her uncle to let him know she wanted them to come over to her house...which is about two hours away! We overheard her say on the phone, "I've got my princess dress on and I want you to please bring Jessie so we can play." lol it was really cute. My sisters then got on the phone, devastated, both ready to up and move to the other town. Therefore, they then preceded to try to solve the delima. They finally were able to tell Paetyn that they would visit when they'd saved all there money... she seemed satisfied. I guess that's what Audrey must tell her about other things because she was perfectly content to *patiently* wait for the money to collect! lol
Anyway it was really fun...sorry for the lack of pictures! :) (:

Pondering God...

Wow, I have just been thinking of some incredible things involving God! One of which being the fact that he chooses us to be his dwelling place!!! Wow, I've known this, but I guess the reality of it has been hitting me so hard. It's so incredible to think that God himself chooses us! We say "make us a vessel," and "our body is a temple," but to think of what that actually means... wow what a thought! I guess all the more this is making me want to do my best in making his "dwelling place" a good one. I truely want others to see Jesus when they look at me!

~ 1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,

Brooks Dubray

I'm not sure if this is really something to blog about, but it's the driving thing in my life. Yesterday I found out one of my friends was murdered... Wow I'm really depressed!!!! She left behind two very little kids and a very tramatized family! If you find it in your busy schedule to pray for the family it would be greatly appreciated!

New Year!

Wow, I can't believe 2009 is hear already! It feels like just yesterday I was a struggling freshman...sophmore...junior...lol ya I guess I had struggles every year! Anyway as the new year was brought in I just couldn't help but remember the many hard hours of study (or the lack thereof...)! The many times I would be sitting in class waiting for school to end and all of the sudden I would hear a beep. (chime...ding...buzz... or whatever other sound you can use to describe the bell) Over the intercom I could here Betty (the office lady) saying, "attention, will all students report to the little gym?" Then in a mad rush the entire school would run...or speedily walk to the little gym for a pep rally! It was so exciting! If it was a year my schedule allowed band then I was in a corner playing songs to get everyone pumped. However, if it was a year that didn't allow for band, my friends and I would arrive to the sound of the band playing, cheerleaders getting ready to cheer, and rustling teenagers! Anyway after we would get there the freshman cheerleaders would start yelling out the year in which they graduate, then there fellow classmates would follow. After they were done the sophmore's would scream out their year of graduation and so on. For instance, when I was a freshman it would go like this; We would yell (to the top of our lungs) 09, 09, 0________9, then sophmore, 08, 08, 0________8, juniors, 07,07, 0________7, seniors, 06, 06, 0________6!
Wow it felt like my year would never come! However, it's here and as I said before, as the new year was being brought in I just couldn't help but remember all the those memories...and then realize that before long they'll be just that, memories.
