I'm moving away to college...did I ever mention that I ended up choosing (or being led to) GBS?

I am moving! I will leave for school August 13th. The plan is for Jeffery and his girlfriend to arrive in SD on the 12th, the fam will then all go to watertown for my niece, Paetyn's, birthday party. After the party, Jeff, Chelle, my dad, sister, and I will head to the black hills for some sight seeing! After we've seen what we want to see we will head to Cincinnati, unload, then head to my dad's family's for Jeff's girlfriend to meet the fam!
I will then stay with Jeff until we can both move to the dorms. I can start moving into the dorm, August 18th. Anyway, that's about it for now. Until then, I'll finish off my notice at work. :)

Baccalaureate

Sunday I was very blessed to take part in our schools baccalaureate service. I was very impressed by the quality of the message. The sermon was on fulfilling the Higher Calling. The preacher (which by the way was the pastor from the local Nazarene church) preached an incredibly challenging and encouraging message. I was actually quite surprised at how much spirituality he incorporated. :)
I feel so blessed to live in a part of the country where we as a public school can still gather as a class body and take part in such a spiritual service…and by a Holiness preacher at that! :)

Poet contest...I won!

So, we had an assignment in English class this past January that consisted of writing a poem...I guess I knew that it was getting submitted to a contesst, but I haven't given it a moments thought! I just got an email from my teacher saying I won first place! Cool beans!

Did you know that the creamy milk that is seen on commercials is actually glue mixed with water???

This was a recent assignment at school! Hmmm? It got me thinking...whoever said last two weeks of senior year was tough...hmmm...not so sure! :) It was fun though!

Describe a recent meal without including the names of any food or drinks.

I ate a food this morning that is a typical breakfast food! The core part of it came from a box. The contents were very rainbow colored. It really wasn’t the most healthy type in this category!!! However, it was very sweet and yummy!
So, I opened the box, poured this mysterious food into a bowl, then poured in a white creamy substance originating from a cow!!! Yummy stuff! After this, I grabbed a spoon and dug in!!!

Anyone who knows me or actually reads this blog, knows that I am in a culinary program called Pro-start. The class runs for three hours every other day during the school weak. This is the program I'm doing the culinary internship for. Anyway, March 24 two teams from our school went to a state culinary competition. The one team in the blue shirts placed 2nd. My team, the Corn Cob Clowns (because we are the Mitchell Kernals!!! lol) didn't place but we did get judges award. I know this is late but, here it is!!! :)
